what must be done to upgrade from Norton Internet Security 2005 to 2006? Does 2005 need to be uninstalled.

Solution:

Yes .You should use the Norton Removal Tool, to uninstall 2005 before installing Norton AV 2006. 

You can find the tools for uninstalling previous versions at http://support.symantec.com
