move XP Pro to new computer if old fails?

Question:
I have a legitimate purchased instance of Windows XP Pro installed on my computer (Athlon 64 CPU). If hardware fails (e.g. motherboard) such that the computer essentially needs to be replaced, can I reinstall the OS on my new machine? This would *only* be in the case that the original machine is tra

Solution:
This is actually a question for Microsoft.  They can be reached at 1-800-426-9400.  I think your solution would be to call Microsoft's Product activation hotline (you may want to call them first), and then they would reactivate your new installation.  Here is that number as well.  1-888-352-7140 or 888-571-2048.
