manual installations. Diskeeper 9 Server Enterprise Edition features the
exclusive Terabyte Volume Engine, specially designed to defragment ultra-large
disk volumes on high-capacity and mission-critical servers. Can be managed by
Diskeeper Administrator Edition. Simultaneously defragments up to 16 volumes
of up to 4 TB each.
Features Frag Shield: Have Diskeeper
take actions to keep the Paging File and MFT from becoming fragmented. I/O
Smart: A selable option that causes a defragmentation process to suspend temporarily
while other disk activity not related to Diskeeper is allowed to complete (I/O
Throttling). This is controllable on a per machine basis. Free Space Consolidation:
Users can sel a defragmentation method to consolidate a volume's free space
into 1 or a small handful of chunks. File Performance Defragmentation:
Users can sel an option to quickly defragment files to a near maximum performance
gain by partially defragmenting large files. Diskeeper Administrator has
been re-written using C# on the .Net platform and records client data into a
SQL database (SQL 2000 or MSDE). Clients will now "push" report data
to the appropriate database after a scheduled defragmentation job. Administrators
can also perform live "pull" scans of client systems (Diskeeper 8
was pull only). Diskeeper Administrator supports multiple consoles reporting
from one or multiple databases for enterprise-scaleable management architecture.
Each instance of the console can be directed to a database of choice. The database
of choice can be changed at any time by running the Configure Database Wizard. Diskeeper
Administrator still supports highly customisable reporting. Users can sort any
of five reports. The five available reports include the same 4 previously available
in v8 (Status, Performance, Computer, and Alerts) as well as a Settings report
which will describe what settings are applied such as CPU Priority Level. You
can now set 2 schedules per drive and sel a defragmentation method to be used
by each of the two schedules.
