Features/Functionality
- Smart pop-up Management - gives you complete control over
the pop-up windows you do and do not see, featuring advanced technology that
stops annoying ads that other pop-up stoppers can't. Pop Up Washer allows
you to see desirable pop-ups by enabling one-click additions to an "allow-list"
for trusted sites like online shopping or financial institutions. It also
automatically identifies user-initiated and navigational pop-up windows to
ensure you get key information needed to use your favorite sites.
- Transparent Removal - stops pop-ups at the Internet Explorer
engine before they appear, preventing screen flickers or blinking.
- Disable Messenger Service - blocks Windows Messenger Service
spam windows that appear as gray boxes on the desktop without affecting items
such as MSN/AOL Instant Messaging.
- One-click Activation - turn pop-up blocking on or off by
simply clicking the Pop Up Washer icon on the task bar.
- Total number of pop-ups blocked - provides a running tally
of the number of pop-ups that Pop Up Washer has prevented from reaching your

Spam Shredder Features
- Auto-Detects Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora
Spam Shredder automatically detects and configures email accounts in Outlook,
Outlook Express and Eudora. Manual configuration is necessary for other POP3
accounts. Currently, web-based email is not supported.
- Simple Whitelist and Blacklist Management
It takes one click to add email addresses to the Whitelist or Blacklist. Whitelist
addresses that are legitimate, and instantly deny messages from undesirable
senders using your Blacklist. You can also automatically add your entire contact
list to the Whitelist for immediate mail delivery from these addresses.
- Statistical Learning Engine
Spam Shredder's analytical tools respond over time to your instructions regarding
suspected spam messages, and learn which emails you will accept and which
you will reject.
- Comprehensive User Controls
You decide whether suspect emails should be deleted automatically or if they
should be held in quarantine for later review and action, and tell the software
how aggressively to pursue spam using the spam tolerance slider.
- Access to Updated Databases
As new spam originators are identified, Webroot adds them to the anti-spam
database and offers you the opportunity to update your Spam Shredder database
for the most thorough protection available.
